Conference Centre gets new image

Chamber member and leading marketing agency Source Design of Shrewsbury has just completed a 10th anniversary campaign for the county’s only purpose-built conference centre.

Shropshire Conference Centre, based in Copthorne, Shrewsbury, commissioned Source to undertake the project to be completed as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations this year.

To mark the decade in business, Source was asked to create a brand management strategy, including additions to their interactive website, to raise awareness of the conference centre and to increase its client base.

The centre is a not-for-profit organisation and offers cutting-edge teaching facilities, seminar rooms, and exhibition area.

Centre facilities manager Sandra Sturge said: “Having worked with Source for some time, we know that we can rely on them to come up with some great marketing ideas while remaining firmly within our budget.

“We are delighted with the campaign they created which has really helped to raise our profile and they are keeping us right up to date with the addition of the latest Google business photo technology on our website.”

Teresa Heath-Wareing, Source account manager, added: “When working with clients we try to understand their business and identify suitable target markets to achieve the best possible results for them.

“Using email marketing and telemarketing, we ensure that they are getting maximum exposure across all social media alongside strategic PR support aimed at local press and news websites.”

Saddle Up and Enjoy the Ride!

In The Saddle is the UK’s largest tour operator specialising in the delivery of horse riding holidays all over the world. From ranches in the Rocky Mountain states of Montana and Wyoming, beach and mountain rides in Europe, horseback safaris in Africa and riding expeditions to remote and unexplored parts of the world.

Based in South Shropshire, In The Saddle, approached Source Design to upgrade their website with a fresh and modern design as well as a whole host of new functionality. The new website incorporates e-Commerce features including payments in multiple currencies, bespoke software integration with their in-house ‘ride information’ database, IP tracking and translations and customer accounts.

The website is built on the Source Content Management System which allows the team at In The Saddle to maintain and keep their site up-to-date.

“The development of In The Saddle’s website involved some fairly complex programming and integration work but the resulting website is a modern, intuitive and hardworking website that positions In The Saddle head and shoulders above their competition,” says Gareth Griffiths, Technical Director at Source Design.

By using the latest development techniques available, such as JQuery, to create movement, the new website will work equally well across mobile platforms such as iPads and iPhones.

James Sales at In The Saddle explains, “the development of our new website was always going to be a huge undertaking but Source were always on hand to help us through the process. From a technical perspective their expertise and professionalism were second to none and we are looking forward to seeing the results”.
