A Shropshire creative agency launched by a young woman with just one client – and now boasting an impressive list – is celebrating its 25th successful year in business.

Managing director of Shrewsbury-based Source, Sally Tringham, who is a qualified graphic designer, took the decision to become self employed in 1991, with Classic Furniture of Newport as her only client. She has gradually developed and grown the agency, which today employs a staff of 11.

Sally, commented: “From very humble beginnings my steadily expanding team has helped the firm evolve into an award-winning and highly respected design and marketing company with a huge range of clients, many of whom have also become great friends over the years.

“I have seen technology move forward dramatically over the last 25 years, from the launch of the first Apple Mac to powerful and lightweight laptops and tablets with speeds that we once only ever dreamed of!

“We have always worked very closely with our customers to create brand identities and websites that are truly bespoke to them and properly serve their very individual and differing needs, which has brought great results over the years and continued positive feedback.

“Websites often need to be updated in style and format as more and more people are shopping and viewing them via mobile devices, so the very latest technology is utilised to match this behavioural change and we are fortunate to have experts in this field in our team.”

Sarah Reast, managing director of Dragon’s Den award-winning wooden toy company Timberkits, based in Mid Wales, added: “Source have been instrumental in helping our business grow from a small family firm to a business with much greater scope, ambition and confidence.

“It is going that extra creative mile which sets Source apart; you get the job done … and then some!”

Source has been involved in many prestigious and diverse projects including creating an app for Gleneagles Golf Course, an appointments system for the Hometyre mobile tyre fitting firm, packaging for Timberkits, career websites for Northgate Vehicle Hire and World Duty Free, branding and website for the Marches Growth Hub and more recently the Shropshire Chamber website due on stream in early 2017.

Sally continued: “Having invested heavily in turning an ‘unloved’ building in Frankwell, Shrewsbury, into smart and stylish new offices with room to grow, my dream over the new few years is to develop our digital team and to expand the business to a turnover in excess of £1m, while fully meeting the needs of our valued clients.”
