Shropshire companies Source Communications, of College Hill in Shrewsbury and Hometyre have been working closely together to create a bespoke software solution for the mobile tyre company’s franchise network.
The fully operational ‘Road-Comm’ software system has enabled Hometyre to manage both client data and mobile technician from one central location.
For the franchisees, the system allows them to operate both efficiently and smartly; two areas of business absolutely essential in today’s economic environment.
Sally Atkinson, Managing Director of Source, said: “Hometyre gave us a ‘wish-list’ and our team developed the system by working with the client on actual specification. In the future we will be able to adapt and develop this system to meet demands from a wide variety of businesses.”
The Hometyre ethos is all about supporting its franchise partners, as Director of Operations at Hometyre, Andrew Scholes, explained: “Each mobile unit will be operating a Wi-Fi enabled 3G mobile device with unique software that links directly to the ‘Road-Comm’ system. Hometyre central management will have instant communication across the network – supplying and receiving a wealth of information.
“We have major plans for the future of our company and firstly needed to install a solid communications infrastructure able to cope and grow with our expanding operation. Source Communications have provided us with that capability and we are delighted with the new system.”
