Source to develop new Cycle Shrewsbury website

Shropshire County Council has recently appointed local design agency Source to create a new, dynamic and interactive website to promote Shrewsbury as a cycle town.

Shropshire County Council has been awarded £1.8 million to invest in Shrewsbury over the next three years to promote Shrewsbury as a cycling destination and increase bicycle usage in the town across all demographics.

Shropshire County Council has recently appointed local design agency Source to create new cycling initiative website.

Eleven design agencies in the region were approached with the brief, but Source with their innovative and creative approaches were the preferred agency. Clearly demonstrating the experience, creative edge, enthusiasm and technical knowledge to take on a project of this scale.

John Everall, Shropshire County Council's Cabinet member for environment and sustainability, said: "We received many excellent proposals from various companies to create a dedicated website to promote Shrewsbury as a Cycling Town. We believe that Source will create an exciting website, which we hope will inform people on the new cycling infrastructure being built in the town and will encourage more people to leave their cars at home and use their bike around the town."

Established for nearly 20 years, Source has built a great reputation for outstanding design and service. Source has been providing a full range of design, marketing and new media services to a wide and varied client base. From developing brand names, consumer packaging and corporate literature, to creative marketing campaigns and bespoke website solutions.

"We take immense pride in our work and have an excellent reputation for quality design and customer support, we are delighted to be working on such a great campaign to promote cycling in Shrewsbury. As a company we are focused on limiting our carbon footprint, and to be involved in promoting such a green way to travel fits perfectly."
